"We don't have to do all of it alone. We were never meant to. "

~Brené Brown

Karina grew up in southern Poland, near the small town of Olesno, with her parents, grandparents, and younger sister, Gabi. Since she was the oldest child, she always helped her younger sister and young cousins who lived nearby. When she was 7 years old, her aunt let her watch her 3 month old baby. She absolutely loved it. These formative experiences led her later in life to become a Pediatric Nurse. She has lived and worked in the San Francisco Bay area since 2009 and considers it her home.

Her education and work experiences trained her very well for the role of Postpartum Doula, Newborn Care Specialist, New Parent Educator & Certificated Pediatric Sleep Consultant.

She serves postpartum families by providing day & night postpartum Doula services, lactation support, sleep consulting, nutritional advice, parenting education, and dedicated physical and emotional support to families with newborns, preemies, multiples, and special needs babies.

Karina has over 25 years of experience working with newborns and has extensive experience with twins, triplets, and premature babies.

Karina's goal is to ensure that the mother's recovery from birth is as relaxed as possible, so she and her family may best enjoy the wonderful and rewarding process of bonding with their newborn. She enjoys working with families because it gives her a feeling of accomplishment and joy. She grew up on a farm which gave her a lifelong love of animals, especially dogs and cats.

Her ideal postpartum job is one in which the baby and the parents benefit greatly from her expertise.

In her free time, Karina enjoys hiking, attending classical music concerts, reading novels, and cooking.

She is fluent in English, Polish, some Czech and Haitian Creole.
